Senior Artist - Unity VFX / Animation

The Challenge Ahead

Tracktwenty is Electronic Arts mobile game studio based in the center of Helsinki. The studio brought SimCity BuildIt to tablet and mobile and the game has more than 200 million installs to date. As well as growing SimCity BuildIt, the studio's passionate team of programmers, artists, designers, marketers, and analysts are working to create the next big hit to come out of Finland for EA Mobile.

As a Senior Game Artist within the Tracktwenty Studio you'll work with our experienced team on the development and visual design of a new mobile title.

Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Art Director, you will work with our incubation artists and designers to author different VFX and asset animations that work best for a mobile gameplay experience.
• Create a variety of VFX and implement through Unity's Shuriken particle system and in-house tools.
• Ideation and authoring of mock-up animatics
• Assist potential outsourcers with authoring additional VFX and Animations by providing feedback and direction.
• Guide outsourcing partners in technical and stylistic requirements.
• Since this is an incubation project, you and the Art Team will take on a variety of work throughout the process.

Requirements
• 5 years of experience working in games.
• Stylized game VFX and animation skills, demonstrating an understanding of principles of weight and movement (Blend of 2D and 3D)
• Proficient in Unity, Adobe Photoshop, and Maya or Blender
• Experience with Unity Implementation / Unity's Shuriken particle system
• Experience with animation asset delivery pipelines
• A passion for playing and making awesome games!

Pluses
• Additional technical art skills (Rigging, lighting, shader work, 3D modeling.)
• Mobile game development experience
