Job Description
Role Overview

CrowdStar is looking for a Senior Art Director on our premier lifestyle fashion application, Covet Fashion. In this role, you will manage a team of creative professionals, oversee in-house and external asset development pipelines, and work cross-functionally with discipline leads across the game to champion the vision and delight players while providing leadership, guidance, and feedback for the team. You will exercise your eye for the elevated, luxury aesthetic and leverage a deep technical knowledge of how to bring that vision to life on a mobile platform. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience managing teams, an established background in technical problem-solving, and a passion for the fashion and beauty industries. This position can be filled remotely but will work closely with art and development teams located in San Francisco, Toronto, and Hyderabad.

Responsibilities:
• Lead with direct authority and influence in order to inspire the whole team in a bold direction.
• Oversee the creative generation process in a fast-paced, live ops-oriented game development environment.
• Mentor a team of globally-distributed artists, animators, art directors, and UI/UX designers internally and externally.
• Distill abstract concepts and ideas into clear, cohesive visual imagery with actionable direction.
• Collaborate with Content, Brand, Marketing, Product, and Development to ensure creative strategy is aligned with broader roadmap goals and game-wide initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for new tools and scripts that can streamline work for the art team.
• Be a champion for quality and provide creative leadership, vision, and guidance for the team on a day to day basis.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Design or Game Art Program, with 10+ years related experience in a mobile game development or live operational environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven experience developing and mentoring teams at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and Dimension.
• Expert knowledge in game art production in Cocos 2D, and working knowledge of Cocos Creator for UI, Particle Designer, and Spline.
• Working knowledge of UI/UX design for mobile apps and games.
• Experience directing the visuals of a player's journey, from in-game art, to UI/UX, to animation, to graphic design, to ASO & UA assets.
• A love of fashion and interest in garment construction, costumes, and women's clothing.
• A passion for hair and makeup design and current trends.
• Dedication to helping players feel equally represented through expanded options in skin tones, hair textures, and facial features.
