Job Description

QA Play Tester (Apex Legends) - (Remote / Temporary)

This is a 100% Work from Home role with fixed hours (12:00pm - 9:00pm CST). This position is a temporary assignment with a duration of 12 months.

The Apex Legends™ QA PlayTester fulfills an important role at EA by providing feedback that helps us better understand the Apex Legends™ player experience. Focusing on playability and gameplay balance, the Apex Legends™ QA PlayTester will report to the Development Manager and work with the Apex QA and Development teams to identify opportunities to ensure each new Apex Legends™ release is exciting for all players.

You are the voice of the Apex Legends™ player. You understand Apex Legends™ and similar titles. You can change your playstyle from casual to hardcore, or from first-time player to veteran, and you're passionate about providing feedback that helps make Apex Legends fantastic for everyone. You can contribute to matches with players of all skill levels and find the fun in Apex without always being the winner.

You understand what 'meta' means, and maybe you play competitively, or you love to min/max. Most of all, you are a passionate gamer: you follow the trends, the latest gaming news, and have a pulse on the player community.

An Apex Legends™ QA PlayTester supports the development of Apex Legends™ by repeatedly playing matches of the game to test out new features including new characters, maps, items, gameplay modes, and more to produce feedback about the latest features. You will go beyond usual testing, as everything you do will be focused on playability, gameplay balance, and fun factor while preempting gameplay strategy.

As part of a specialized team, you will collaborate with your teammates on daily objectives for the game sessions as set out by your lead. During a typical day you will attend team meetings, track your time, share feedback, and most of all, play Apex Legends™.
