The Principal Character Artist will work with all relevant team members in ensuring the presentation of characters and creatures supports emotional and narrative context and meet the product goals. You have a passion for costume design, will be a student of the anatomy of the human form, and love of the nuances that establish a believable, compelling, and relatable character. The Principal Character Artist will combine foundational art skills with the know-how and technical experience to breathe life into the characters on screen.

Responsibilities:

• Research, develop and recommend construction and pipeline best practices in the creation of high-quality characters, creatures, and weapons.
• Mentor your fellow character art-focused development team members to help enhance the team's skills and overall quality of studio products.
• Partner with Concept Artists and Art Direction leadership in the development of character, weapon, and creature assets.
• Partner with the Facial Animation, Animation and Presentation Team members in implementation, iteration, and polish of character art assets into the final product.
• Work with the Technical Art and Engineering Teams in the identification of technology requirement needed to meet product goals.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years' experience as a character artist in the video game industry.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don't match every qualification listed above. Let us know why this role appeals to you, why you will be great, what unique perspectives you will bring, and which requirements will challenge you to grow.

We love to celebrate our great perks like comprehensive health and benefit packages, tuition reimbursement, 401k with company match, of course, free video games and more!
