What you will do as a Payroll Specialist, reporting to our EU Payroll Manager
• Be part of our EA's European payroll team in Madrid to manage different payroll processes of multiple countries, with preference of German and LATAM locations
• Ensure legislative compliance and that employees are paid accurately according to established laws.
• Work with the EU Payroll Management Team to Identify areas of process improvement.
• Partner with other internal EA partners such as People Experience (PE) and Finance to streamline processes and build strong relationships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure the monthly processing of all salary data.
• Work closely with our people experience (HR) teams to ensure all relevant monthly change data is received in time for processing.
• Work closely with Compensation & Benefits to ensure all benefits are reported and processed correctly through payroll.
• Monitor and remain entirely up to date with all legislative changes.
• Ensure full legislation compliance meeting legal deadlines, e.g., Tax and Social Security authorities, to prevent late payment/reporting penalties.
• Payroll reporting for our wider finance teams.
• Respond to all queries from employees, authorities, and managers.
• Labor/employment law queries include parental leave, sick leave, leavers, starters, and contractual issues.
• Assisting in the reconciliation and closure of the tax year-end processes.
• Monthly processing of the Company Share Schemes.
• Manage the processing of various share schemes via payroll as local legislation requires, including Stock Plans, RSU, and ESPP.
• Reconcile monthly ESPP contributions and ensure data is submitted to the US within the deadlines.
• New hires, work contract changes, and termination payroll processes.

Skills and Knowledge Required
• 2+ years' demonstrated experience in a payroll function
• Previous experience using ADP payroll services (ADP Celergo) or any other global payroll tool.
• Excellent MS Excel knowledge is needed.
• Preferably an expertise in multiple territories for Europe, German legislation would be advantageous.
• Fluent in spoken and written English (please note that English is the working language for this role).
• Preferably fluent in spoken and written German.
