Job Description
Please note - We have multiple positions open and are looking for talents within a range of experience Mid-level to Senior. These roles is primarily based in Stockholm, but can also be based remotely in Europe, or from any of our European offices.

We are DICE, the award-winning studio with locations in Stockholm and Gothenburg, Sweden, best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise.

We are now part of a set of global studios building a connected Battlefield universe, developing Battlefield's one-of-a-kind multiplayer suite, while also building a team to support our new Seattle-based studio, Ridgeline Games, who are leading the development of a single-player narrative campaign.

We are looking for a Technical Designer to work on the future of Battlefield.

You will in your daily work report to a Design Director or Producer and work across multiple single player missions and support level designers and mission designers to create a dynamic gameplay experience for an upcoming title.

Your manager will be the Studio Technical Design Director.

Responsibilities
• Be part of a single player team at DICE helping level and mission designers creating new missions
• Drive technical design reviews for design features and systems
• Prototyping, and use your knowledge and skills to foresee challenges in ideas before diving into implementation
• Responsible for implementing new and existing systems, workflows and solutions that can be used by designers
• Be the champion for system improvements, best practices and design implementation with quality, performance and stability in mind
• Coach designers in the engine and scripting standards and workflows within single player scripting
• Participate in playtests and feedback sessions and feedback on the player experience

Qualifications
• A love for playing and making FPS games
• 3+ years of professional game development experience with focus on a technical design direction
• Experience with AAA development
• Professional experience from game engines and visual scripting languages in engines such as Frostbite, Unreal, Unity or equivalent
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tasks
• Great collaboration skills, across both local and remote teams
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English

Nice to have
• Experience with single player scripting
• Experience with AI Systems
• Understanding of level design and single player design fundamentals
