Technology and engineering leadership at EA is critical to making the industry's best games & services and the EADP team is leading the way to providing cross-platform services that will keep our consumers connected with our games anytime, anywhere with anyone.

EA Hyderabad has an opportunity for a Software Engineer III position. As a Software Engineer, you will be a senior technical member of the central engineering team to and collaborate with product management and the UX design teams to build applications that delight users.

What Would You Do

You will be developing distributed, highly resilient, globally scalable services in the cloud by utilizing world-class engineering principles and modern DevOps best practices. Our Software Engineers love to experiment with leading edge technology, dive deep into code and work as part of a team of programming experts who define and solve complex computing problems. You must ensure stellar product quality, and provide technical inputs to Product Managers as they communicate new product features. You should have excellent design and coding skills in building APIs and have the technical depth in OS (Linux, macOS, Windows) and various programming models.

You will be interacting with product managers, scrum masters, architects and quality engineers across US and other geographies.
• Define and tune frontend technology stack
• Take part in building an application from the ground up
• Write code at every level, but focus on the Frontend development
• Collaborate with product and UX design teams to build applications that delight users
• Participate in all aspects of an iterative, agile software development process, including scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, coding, testing, maintenance and support
• Integrate front-end applications with the business layer
• Follow best practices and standards for accessibility
• Coordinate with interface designers for meeting accessibility standards at code level
• Effectively communicate progress and issues with engineering and product/project managers
• Advocate clean code and clean architecture principles in software development

Must-Have Skills
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Technology or Computer Science from reputed institutions
• 4+ years of experience in front-end development
• 2+ years of experience with web frameworks and state management tools such as ReactJS, Reduc, etc.
• Sound knowledge of Javascript - Promises, JS Modules, DOM, Events, Functional Programming, etc.
• Advanced level HTML & CSS - HTML5, Object Oriented CSS, Cross Browser
• Good understanding of HTTP protocols
• Experience building highly interactive and data driven applications
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing concepts and frameworks (Jest, CypressIO)
• Good analytical and creative problem solving skills; solution oriented individual.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership/'can do' attitude and high attention to detail
• Demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem solving
