Role

You will work with a team of legal counsels, legal professionals, and business partners to supporting the game, studio, and central teams. Covering game development to deployment, marketing/ad-tech to marketplace/commerce tools, as well as the complex back-end services and databases, in-game social and communication tools, and evolving landscape around cross-play and cloud gaming.

You will ensure that the privacy-by-design requirements are implemented throughout EA's products and solutions. You will help manage our compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Player First commitments, while applying leading practices to our privacy programs, including data privacy rights responses, data mapping, certifications, guidance assurance, testing, training, and awareness initiatives.

Reporting to Senior Counsel, Enterprise Privacy.

Role Responsibility Details
• Work with Privacy Team to develop, implement, and update a globally comprehensive privacy program, focused on assessing risks, designing and updating controls, monitoring and evidencing compliance, and evolving the program over time;
• Be the primary point of contact to advise game, studio, or central engineering teams to ensure privacy-by-design is embedded in our products and solutions, in particular our mobile app/games. This includes support of game development and deployment, marketing/ad-tech, central back-end databases, marketplace/commerce tools, in-game social and communication tools, and cloud gaming.
• Experience in mobile App/game space, on data practices related to adtech, age differentiation, and platform (iOS/Android) compliance is highly desirable.
• Support the on-going development of internal policies and guidance for privacy and data governance practices;
• Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to cross-functional groups responsible for auditor, regulator, and third-party relationships;
• Perform legal research and provide practical advice on emerging global privacy regulations, including providing expertise to the policy and government relations team; and
• Monitor organisational processes, internal controls and perform analysis to measure program effectiveness and compliance; complete appropriate documentation.

General Qualifications
• Relevant experience working at a mid-level of seniority;
• Experience in mobile gaming and the ad-tech space is highly desirable;
• Experience with consumer privacy, data practices, and information governance, as well as digital product-to-market in the consumer technology or entertainment industries;
• Technology contracting experience, including Data Processing Agreements;
• Experience working on diverse matters, successfully leading cross-functional projects, and comfortable finding creative and practical solutions;
• Excellent communication skills, impeccable integrity;
• Collaborative and able to build partnerships, ability to manage a diverse and complex workload;
• CIPP, CIPP-E, a plus.
