The Community Activation Team connects with the voices of EA's 300+ million players playing our roster of global games. The Lead, Global Social Media Engagement contributes in the transition from Marketing Communications Strategy into social channels engagement through assets and creative voice for the North American Football arm of EA Sports. Informed by the Marketing & Communications Strategy and Activation plans, the Lead, Global Social Media Engagement will manage a team focused on real-time player engagement strategy, building connections to EA's social community through two-way communication that creates mass awareness and interest.

The Lead, Global Social Channel Engagement will oversee the development of social communication plans for external franchise channels, partnering with our creative teams to brief and manage asset development and craft creative copy aligned with EA and franchise brand voices. You will manage teams that oversee the social media calendar and will guide teams to coordinate briefs, assignments, schedules and assets for distribution. You will report to the Director, Integrated Communications, North American Football. Someone has a passion for video games, social media, storytelling, creating fun and engaging content, and coaching, inspiring, developing and empowering a medium-sized people organization. Creativity and an eye for good content and stories are a must, and the person who has experience with catching and surfing trends and topics to excite players and create dialogue will be successful in this role.

Requirements:
• Experienced people manager with proven abilities to develop and inspire a team of diverse and for some, remote individuals.
• Experience using insights and data to develop social channel content campaigns and ideas.
• Interest in developing social influencer campaigns in partnership with marketing and communications partners.
• Collaboration skills with the ability to work as a positive, teammate.
• Expertise with video and livestream and social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch and other emerging social platforms (Giphy, Tik-Tok...).
• Excited by creating unique and fresh ideas and building standards
• Looking to lead a small but collaborative team while still having a strong individual voice
• 6+ years experience in the Gaming/Entertainment space with experience delivering successful social media engagement programs
• Experience building influencer or social content led branded programs ideal
• Experience developing marketing strategies and marketing activation plans
• Experience with digital and social media marketing in addition to appropriate metrics of success
• Experience with content creation tools such as image / photo / video design & editing - you will manage people who have such skills and review / approve their work
• Experience applying behavioral, demographic & psychographic data to improve content.
• Gaming culture & industry knowledge and interest for the competitive gaming space.
• Passion for the sports culture, industry, following athletes' careers, particularly for football
• Desire to brainstorm and strategize programs based on campaign goals and business objectives
• Intense interest in keeping up-to-date with evolution and development of technologies, trends and practices within the social media ecosystem.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, if necessary, and attend off-site events, respectful of Covid restrictions.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a team of 3-5 individuals
• Promote the development of compelling social media and editorial content strategies for NA Football
• Communicate trends, shifts, opportunities, and statuses with teams and partners
• Foster relationships with internal team (Development, Brand, Marketing Communications, Legal, Finance)
• Use tools to improve social content performance and identify the most appropriate trends & topics of interests for the community of EA players & fans to meet campaign goals and challenges.
• Manage social media campaigns with our partners including third-party console manufacturers and partner brands
• Develop comprehensive reporting to express social media campaigns' impact
• Execute annually, monthly and campaign specific social media budgets
