At Ripple Effect we are building the AAA studio of tomorrow. Our studio is dedicated to crafting community-first experiences powered by cutting-edge technology and genre-defining innovation. We welcome artists of all levels and backgrounds to join us either in-studio or fully remote as we build the next great Battlefield experience.

We reach excellence through tireless iteration and we seek developers with diverse experiences who will enrich our studio's creativity.

The Role: As an Environment Artist specializing in photogrammetry you represent the foundation of our art enterprise. Responsibilities:
• Photo scan objects and spaces using a mixture of cameras, aerial drones, and laser scanners.
• Refine and polish scanned topology to create game-ready meshes.
• Create biome dioramas featuring scanned assets that act as visual benchmarks for our playspace.
• Foster communication and collaboration across craft and studio lines.
• Contribute to and help maintain workflow and pipeline documentation pages on Confluence.

Skills Required:
• Mastery of still photography with 3+ years of experience doing photogrammetry work.
• Mastery of popular photo scanning processing software.
• Strong proficiency using Autodesk Maya or similar 3D packages to alter and refine processed scanned meshes.
• Strong proficiency with texture & shader creation suites like Substance Painter and Mari to create realistic textures and materials.
• 3+ years of experience with UV mapping & texture projection.
• Extensive experience working in a real-time game environment (UE, Unity, etc.)

Nice to Haves:
• Drone piloting experience, specifically for photogrammetry scanning purposes.
• Familiarity with LiDar scanning, specifically utilizing scans in a terrain or game editor.
• Familiarity with procedural terrain generation.
• Experience creating texture tiles and integrating them into shaders for environments.
• Experience working with OS vendors.
