Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Data Products, the Director of Business Intelligence standardizes the reporting/analytics practices and inspires the vision for business intelligence. You will ensure the growth of analytics capabilities by identifying product opportunities to standardize BI practices, with a focus on self-serve accessibility and leading reporting and insight-generating capabilities. Another important responsibility this role will have is to attract and retain accomplished BI experts who can lead the organization to higher levels of analyst performance and executive dashboard accessibility. This role can be performed on-site in Montreal or Toronto, hybrid or fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a change agent and champion for business intelligence; drive a self-service/forward-looking approach to analytics that empowers individual stakeholders across the organization.
• Lead a team of BI experts to build a trusted, strategic, and business-focused practice.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders/leaders and navigate cross-functionally to deliver on priorities collaboratively.
• Proactively identify and interpret business needs, identify improvement opportunities that enhance decision-making across all levels of the organization, and respond with BI solutions.
• Implement key performance indicators to ensure BI initiatives are effective, are providing value to the business, and the BI process is improving.
• Identify opportunities to productize BI practices and partner with the Product Management team to define the requirements. Anticipate future and ongoing needs.
• Partner with Product Management, Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to provide expertise on scalable data solutions and advanced analytics use cases. Ensure data pipelines and 3rd party integrations being developed align with the vision of business intelligence reporting/analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Products and Adrenaline leadership to ensure the business intelligence team is meeting/exceeding their commitments to department goals.
• Stay up to date on BI and analytics tools, platforms, and technologies, make recommendations for the business, and participate in evaluations.
• Manage vendor relationships for BI tools and assist with vendor management for other 3rd party tools.
• Manage important ad hoc analysis for the senior leadership team's business decisions and department updates.
Required Qualifications:
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• You have 10-15 Years of experience in an analytics/business intelligence role.
• You have 5+ Years of people management experience.
• You have a strong knowledge of BI reporting platforms like Looker, Power BI, Tableau, etc
• You can share with us your knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Base Salary Ranges
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $178,100 - $271,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $166,700 - $271,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $201,800 - $271,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $166,700 - $227,900 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $166,700 - $258,200 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $134,250 - $220,050 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
