Job Description
This role will provide technical domain expertise in DB technologies and is responsible for driving DB strategy, , DB upgrades, ensure license compliance, lead DB migration to cloud initiatives and drive technology upgrades . This position requires excellent ERP Apps DBA knowledge with deep expertise in the latest version of oracle databases deployed on OCI with high level of fluency on DBaaS and Oracle Autonomous databases. This role will report to EAIT's Company Operations Engineering Director .

Responsibilities
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - Tenancy architecting, administration and management
• Configuration and Tuning of complex large database environments deployed on OCI
• Database capacity planning and monitoring
• Implement and maintain database security, Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
• Proactively monitoring database performance and come up with suggestions for preventative maintenance and continuous improvements
• Assist in technical troubleshooting and provide deep technical and architecture guidance to operations teams
• Set up and monitoring of data replication and maintenance of standby databases
• Management and Upgrade of Oracle databases and related components to ensure supportability
• Work with ERP application's team in troubleshooting of complex areas like ECC, iStore , Concurrent load balancing etc
• Management of DBaaS, VMDB, Storage, Network, Security, LB's etc deployed on OCI and provide technical guidance to operations and application's team
• Architect and Deploy DR solutions for application's deployed and champion periodic DR exercises
• Perform periodic license and license component review working with application team to ensure license compliance, handle order renewals and be SPOC for CSI's with oracle
• Provide solutions to manage legacy DB platforms/solution per security requirements
• Strong Database Administration and PL/SQL skills.
Qualifications and Experience
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of hands- on experience in administering Enterprise High Availability Oracle RAC RDBMS environments.
• Extensive knowledge into Oracle RDBMS high availability concepts and best practices. Knowledge of networking and security i.e. DNS layers, Load Balancers (F5 / LbaaS), subnets, TLS, SSL, SAML etc.
• Ability to understand, define and solve problems, executing and delivering in a quickly evolving environment
• Experience with full SDLC methodologies, practices and frameworks
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques in OLTP and OLAP areas
• Knowledge of data warehousing basics and familiarity working on Snowflake database
• Basic understanding and skills administering Snowflake database
• Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional distributed organization
• Experience leading cloud-based system evaluations and technology implementations
• Experience handling log mining/log capture applications that replicate objects
• Good understanding of various key public cloud providers like AWS/Azure/OCI and infrastructure experience deploying applications on these providers
