The audio team at Slightly Mad Studios is delighted to offer a rare career opportunity for a talented audio designer to join our award-winning team.

We're looking for people with a strong passion for design and a real appreciation for the detail and complexity that builds an immersive depth through in-game audio experience. Ideally you will have a keen interest in vehicle audio, motorsports and in-game systems for reproduction of vehicle audio. An interest in Racing games would be advantageous but is not essential to be considered for this role. This opportunity would suit someone with some experience and who is making early progress in their audio career.

Working from a high-bar specification you will source, create, process & implement AAA quality sound effects to ambitious project specifications. With good knowledge of software such as Wwise, Reaper and tools, at least some game-engine integration experience will be key in ensuring you can handle the scope of technical complexity in this environment.

You won't be short of challenges, and as well as delivering to spec, we also give you freedom to identify opportunities for new innovation, bringing your own ideas for creative and technical audio solutions. In time you can also have the opportunity to assist with real-vehicle recordings out on location, including genuine legendary status cars from various decades.

This is not just any project that you will be working on but a best in class, unannounced title in the racing genre with leading bespoke audio tools at your disposal.

We're open-minded on how much experience you bring to this role because we're looking for talent, ideas and capability alongside a quality-centric approach where there is no ceiling on excellence. If you have sound design integration as well as sound to video work, we'd love to see what you can do, so please make sure to attach a show-reel so we can check out your work. Include as much story and design-methodology around your craft as you can and present to us in an engaging way.
