Just 13 miles south of Manchester and a 15-minute train journey, is the attractive market town of Wilmslow. Here amongst the boutique shops and independent cafes and bars is the stunning Playdemic studio. Acquired by EA in 2021, Playdemic is home to the top 10 grossing, BAFTA-winning mobile smash – Golf Clash. Having opened at the beginning of 2020, our award-winning, bespoke studio space offers conventional desk space as well as indulgent breakout areas, meeting rooms and alternative workspaces. The office has been ridgeline-designed to create an environment that encourages and allows our team to do their very best work. You will report to the Senior Animator, working on both 3D and 2D animations for live Season Pass content within Golf Clash.

Responsibilities:

You will be working with animators, artists and designers to create finalised 3D animations and 2D animatics for Golf Clash. You will be using storyboards to present your ideas, creating them within 3D Software / 2D Software and finalising them within the game engine.
• Work with the LiveOps team to generate ideas for Golf Clash Season Pass
• Involvement with storyboard creation for animation reference
• Work with 2D artists to create animatics
• Create high-quality 3D animations ready for game engine
• Work with feedback given by Senior Animators to progress your skills
• Finalise assets and files within the game engine

Qualifications:
• Professional animation experience
• Knowledge of Autodesk Maya for animation
• Knowledge of a 2D animation software
• Knowledge of working with a game engine
• Passionate about creating new ideas with a wide variety of themes
