Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Coordinator who is collaborative, results-driven and innovative to support our Production HR team at DreamWorks Animation. This position requires a detail-oriented team player with a strong interest in Human Resources. The HR Coordinator will have the opportunity to create a best in class people experience while completing HR administration and transactional work, in addition to partnering with the HR Partners on employee engagement activities and project-based tasks. This position is also responsible for interfacing & problem solving with several business partners including: Recruiting, Finance, Labor Relations, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation and HR Operations. This position will be based in Glendale, CA and will report to the HR Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The HR Coordinator is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and operational support for a fun & fast-paced client base. This position will interface with HR departments & employees across the organization in order to manage and resolve issues, as well as assist with HR process coordination. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist employees with general HR inquiries and referring them to the appropriate resource(s)
• Process HRIS transactions for all employment life cycle changes such as new hire and personnel actions, promotions, terminations, organizational changes, etc. through required workflow processes. Act as a back-up for other HR Coordinators when needed
• Liaise with business partners including Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, HR Operations, HRConnection and Production Finance in order to field questions and resolve day to day employee issues
• Manage sensitive information including but not limited to salary, personal information, and organizational structural redesigns
• Create a seamless on-boarding experience for all new-hires: collect and process all new hire documentation, review background checks, coordinate new hire set up, review I9 documentation, etc.
• Process employee terminations including coordinating and conducting weekly exit interviews, prepping paperwork, coordinating final checks, and aiding with the exit process and asset collection where needed
• Facilitate new hire orientation as part of a rotating group with other HR staff
• Work alongside HR team to ensure all issues are resolved and escalated if/when necessary
• Responsible for maintenance of confidential electronic personnel files and organizational systems. Proactively manage HR systems in order to ensure data integrity
• Handle Employment Verification letters
• Coordinate, monitor and report COVID-19 testing and results as needed
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned, in support of the overall HR team/department

Qualifications/Requirements
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related Field of Study
• 1+ year of HR or related experience in meeting fast paced employee based, client or customer needs
• Experience with HR information systems (i.e. SAP), Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Groups, etc.)
