Associate Director, HR Policy
About The Role: | Major goals and objectives.
The Associate Director, HR Policy will collaborate with and provide strategy and guidance to the HR team in the areas of employment risk management; HR policy interpretation and application; and compliance. This position will assist in driving results by aligning human resources strategies and initiatives with company goals, initiatives and values.
About The Role's Contributions:
60% - Liaison with the legal team to partner with and provide guidance to the HR team in the areas of employment risk management; HR policy interpretation and application; compliance; continuity and execution of employment documents such as offer letters and separation and/or severance agreements and training as well as contingent worker and affirmative action/EEO compliance.
40% - Provide reporting and analysis, strategy work, project management, fact finding of employment related matters, and other duties as assigned.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. SHRM designations are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum five years of experience in a related role actively responding to and providing guidance with employment claims and affirmative action and EEO matters.
• Solid working knowledge and experience with employment state and federal laws, in multi-state jurisdictions.
• High ethical standards.
• Experience in the media industry and with unionized employees strongly preferred but not required.
• Experience working with labor relations matters is highly preferred.
• Task orientated with proven ability to drive positive results.

• Must be a self-starter with the ability to consult, negotiate and influence others.
• Project management skills; managing shifts in priorities as customer needs change.
• Ability to deliver results in a consultative and collaborative manner and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Must be an effective problem solver with solid judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High technical proficiency including HRIS, MS Office applications, database management and other HR technologies.
• Training and facilitation skills are helpful.
% Travel Required (Approximate): <15%
Pay Range
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000
