Specialist, Corporate Social Responsibility (Disney Entertainment)

In this role you will support and manage CSR efforts across Disney Entertainment, with an emphasis on The Walt Disney Studios/Direct to Consumer (DTC) businesses, while aligning with the larger Walt Disney Company's CSR purpose and business objectives. You are highly motivated, a detailed-oriented team player, and can champion pro-social efforts. What You Will Do
• Collaborate across the business to align with The Walt Disney Company on priorities and champion CSR goals, objectives, and initiatives working closely with the Senior Manager.
• Manage and execute wish-granting efforts and special screening requests.
• Work in partnership with Children's Hospital team to facilitate, manage and maintain hospital screenings (including Disney Movie Moments), Disney+ subscriptions and visits tied to priority content/talent throughout the year, inclusive of project management, logistics, communications planning, legal and more.
• Manage auction requests tied to nonprofits.
• Support Galas, inclusive of guest list management (invites, confirmations, event briefs), tribute ads, tracking, and more.
• Support marketing and communications strategy that showcases the impact and value of CSR initiatives, especially for Children's Hospitals and wish-granting efforts, by assisting Senior Manager with content creation, social strategy, and preparing written material.
• Support Studio/DTC content driven cause-marketing initiatives and company-wide social impact campaigns throughout the year, inclusive of project management, support of marketing screening strategy, campaign recaps, and more.
• Manage quarterly brand meeting agendas, recap notes, action items and follow-up.
• Facilitate grant agreements, support grant processing and tracking.
• Provide ad-hoc support for budget and data reporting.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• 3+ years of professional experience with demonstrated success in corporate social responsibility, communications, philanthropy and grant-giving, or related roles.
• Professional experience in event planning. logistics and coordination.
• A vested interest in social causes and/or philanthropy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient writer and editor.
• Effective communication and collaboration with partners, including executives, talent, and consumers.
• Exceptional relationship management skills, demonstrating an ability to deliver high-quality customer service while achieving business objectives.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple demands, and meeting deadlines; adept in fast-paced environments
• Project management and time management with excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter – takes initiative, anticipates issues, and solves problems proactively.
• Quick learner with boundless curiosity and a passion for delivering excellence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac iOS, including PowerPoint; Adobe Suite including Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Skills in PowerPoint and Keynote preferred.
Preferred qualifications:
• Prior experience in entertainment industry.
• Understanding of grant-making systems and processes, such as Cybergrants.
• Proven experience working with communications channels, digital tools (intranets, social media, etc.) and project management platforms including Smartsheet.
• Understanding best practices in grant-making, impact reporting, and governance.
• Proficiency in copyediting and proofreading is preferred.
Education:
• B.A. or equivalent experience in Communications, Nonprofit Administration, CSR, Marketing, or related field OR equivalent experience.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $76,300.00 - $95,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
