About the Role & TeamDisney in the Nordics & Baltics can offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join our HR Team.
The Senior HR Advisor will report to the Nordic & Baltic Director of HR and collaborate closely with the Employee Experience Manager, both based in Stockholm, as well as our Senior HR Manager, based in Oslo.
We can provide a fun and broad HR context and you will be working closely with our exciting entertainment and media business.
Who are we looking for?
The right person for this role is used to a wide HR generalist scope across two or more of the Nordic countries. You have worked in an international setting and will always roll up your sleeves for the high and low that comes our way. You easily prioritise and structure just about any project or process & will quickly get the hang of how we use Workday, soon to be SAP, to deliver the highest quality of operational HR and employee data. You have worked with hiring as well as restructuring, will control all the back-office work needed through the end-to-end cycle of an employee, and are always up for a chat with managers and employees.
The Senior HR Advisor will be the first point of contact for many HR matters and drive different projects, both for Nordic managers, employees as well as our HR CoE colleagues in London.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. We are looking for the right person to be based in our offices in either Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen or Helsinki.
What You Will Do
• Act as first point of contact and be operationally responsible for employee queries (for example: company and statutory policies, terms and conditions, compensation & benefits, new starters etc). Actively resolve issues and respond in an appropriate, timely and proactive manner. Manage expectations and ensure our business receives a first-class service.
• Support the HR team and managers in larger projects, such as recruitment needs as well as restructuring projects.
• Be a local point of contact for all the regional centers of excellence, such as Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition. You'll be working closely with these teams and colleagues to locally adapt regional initiatives and processes.
• Workday (soon to be SAP) Super-User, manage the highest quality of all employee data and maintain records in our HR systems, in close collaboration with our HR Operations team based in London.
• All local processes related to HR operations and administration, collaborate closely with other support functions such as Finance and Payroll. Responsible for supporting our annual HR processes, such as merit and bonus planning, work environment projects, policy implementations and headcount tracking and reporting.
• Manage the full on-boarding and off boarding process, including contact with employees, regional, local and administrative steps.
• Tracking of the HR budget and managing HR related vendors, purchase orders and invoicing.
• Employee relations/policy issues as the need arises.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• At least four years of HR experience, within an international/EMEA organisation and working in a matrix/cross-functional setup, ideally covering several of the Nordic countries
• Experience in an HR customer facing role, with operational and administrative responsibility, preferably within the entertainment or media business.
• Previous experience of working with projects related to organisational development and changes (large recruitment investments as well as restructuring)
• Labour law knowledge and experience in at least one of the Nordic countries
• Understanding of payroll related processes, and the role HR data plays in that
• Proficient Workday and/or SAP knowledge and experience
• Strong digital literacy, (Power point, Word, Outlook etc)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ability to work with formulas and manipulate data
• Degree level educated (or equivalent) within Human Resources/Behavioural Science
• Strong language skills in English (oral and written) and in at least one Nordic language
