Job Description
The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for TWDC, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.
The International Marketing Specialist for Disney Music Group will be responsible for assigned marketing campaigns spanning catalog projects, new artist releases, and soundtracks. The role will collaborate with the domestic marketing teams and work closely with our international counterparts to roll out campaigns globally. Assist the department with ad-hoc administrative tasks, such as processing invoices and scheduling meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Bring a modern and proactive approach to marketing campaigns for DMG's catalog, artists, and soundtracks
• Embrace the opportunity to guide assigned projects from inception to completion, making a meaningful impact in all relevant markets. Create excitement for releases within international teams.
• Effective and clear communication of marketing plans & activations to international markets, domestic partners, and senior leadership
• Ability to work across multiple projects concurrently and ensure that deadlines are met efficiently
• Proactively work to localize assets and marketing tools to adapt for effective strategies in ex-US markets
• Monitor and analyze the performance of releases with a suite of analytics tools
• Work closely with the International Marketing Manager on catalog product development, and with updates to international YouTube channels, including shorts, community posts, and video descriptions
• Ad-hoc administrative assistance for the department, including invoice processing and updating department reports
• Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 2+ years previous experience in a Marketing / Digital Marketing role
• Creative thinker, team player, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work well under pressure
• Excellent communicator and skilled in prioritization
• Digitally savvy, with extensive knowledge of social media & music streaming platforms
• Globally minded with a deep knowledge of the music landscape
• Passionate about music and the music industry
• Driven to seek out opportunities and anticipate the needs of international teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Keynote or PowerPoint, Airtable
• Must be available to work onsite 4 day per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote with flexibility to work onsite as needed.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $60,800 to $78,600 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
