Executive Assistant, Programming Strategy & Content Planning (Disney Branded Television)

Disney Entertainment Networks is the driving force behind the Programming Strategy, Content Planning, and Business Operations of Disney's linear entertainment networks, including ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, FX, Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. Our team also manages non-linear platforms (TVE/VOD), Disney Branded Networks YouTube Channels, and the migration of original content to Disney+ and Hulu.

Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the Disney Entertainment Networks Kids Programming Strategy and Content Planning team, with a primary focus on Disney Branded Television content. This role involves working closely with a team of approximately 40 individuals across three major US cities, providing executive administrative support to the VP, Programming Strategy & Content Planning, and two other Directors. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, the ability to handle a high volume of tasks, and strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities:
• Executive Support:
• Manage the administrative needs of a VP and 2 Directors within the content planning team.
• Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate travel arrangements.
• Handle expense reports in Concur, process invoices via SAP, and manage distribution lists.
• Assist with special projects and procurement of office supplies.
• Project Support:
• Assist in departmental projects, including creating presentations, reviewing materials, and conducting research.
• Develop and maintain decks and documents in Keynote and PowerPoint and organize files on Teams/SharePoint.
• Content Beat Management:
• Update and distribute the Disney Branded Television Key Content Beats document.
• Compile Key Content Beats for all Networks (DBT, Nat Geo, Freeform, FX, ABC Entertainment, ABC News on Hulu).
• Weekly Updates:
• Compile and distribute weekly linear and multiplatform updates across Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, and competitive networks.
• Data and Metadata Management:
• Assist with writing metadata, entering program data, and organizing project feedback.
• Competitive Analysis:
• Compile monthly Acquisition review materials and facilitate the bi-annual Kids Competitive Kickaround deck creation and presentation.
• Team Communication & Event Facilitation:
• Provide general office support, including liaising with building staff, facilitating in-office moves, and setting up new team members.
• Organize team events, both in-person and virtually.

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of proven experience as an executive assistant in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, Keynote, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations.
• Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Event planning experience and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Flexibility to accommodate different time zones and work schedules, with occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of proven experience as an executive assistant in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a media-related field or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,400 to $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
