The Role

The lifecycle marketing team is a data-led, creative thinking and results-driven team who oversees all one-to-one communications with our discovery+ subscribers. The Email Marketing Specialist, Subscriber Engagement, will support our discovery+ retention strategy to free trial increase roll-to-pay and reduce churn. You will work on ad-hoc and automated email campaigns across various subscriber lifecycle stages. This role will partner closely with Subscriber Engagement, Product Marketing, Product & Engineering, Analytics and Design.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate with various teams including Design, Copy, Marketing, and Analytics to plan, QA, execute and report on retention email campaigns
• Manage the end-to-end email production process and campaign calendar for many of our retention email deployments within our ESP platform (including some HTML coding)
• Monitor daily program automations and data processes; troubleshooting when necessary
• Execute and report on A/B and multivariate tests to drive engagement
• Implement automated & triggered email campaigns journeys for onboarding, reactivation, and winback
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, deployment and reporting

Qualifications
• 2-3 years of experience in a digital or CRM/email marketing role with direct ESP experience
• HTML & CSS email coding proficiency; comfort with cross-client email coding best practices
• Experience with mobile email optimization (and responsive email template builds) a strong plus
• Knowledge of email industry best practices
• Ability to project manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Meticulous attention to detail & strong organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
