Sr. Transmission Analyst

We currently have an opening for a Transmission Analyst. This position will be located in Bangalore, India.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide hardware, software, and Data I/O system support for post-production facility/data centers
• Assist in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and managing server farms.
• Assist in basic network troubleshooting.
• Monitor transmissions platforms globally and work directly with on-premise IT teams to troubleshoot throughput issues.
• Lead a team of transmissions engineers.
• Become SME on transmissions platform software such as Aspera and Signiant.
• Configure storage, servers and software hosting transmissions software.
• Assist with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and managing Transmissions software.
• Assist globally with external clients including software plugin issues and transfer system issues.
• Assist with internal client issues, including software, transfers and client rejection issues.
• Perform necessary periodic infrastructure security audits.
• Utilize technical knowledge and support expertise to maintain business SLAs and product uptime.
• Work closely with other support groups: development, networking, quality control, build/release engineering, various technical services personnel, and customers.
• Assist Senior Engineers with day to day duties.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• BA in Computer Science and/or equivalent certifications/experience required.
• 5 - 10 years of systems/server administrator experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, OSX, and Linux RHEL/CentOS.
• Experience with Aspera, Signiant, Wamnet, Smartjog, Catapult and Tixstream preferred.
• MCSE for 2008 or above is a plus.
• Experience with Juniper and Cisco switching a plus.
