Position Title

Recruitment Specialist, Localization Freelance Talent, Nordics

Position Summary

An energetic and committed recruiter with fluency in a Nordic language, and connections to the Nordic region and its localization industry, to join a team of specialists on search campaigns for freelance translators. As the first point of contact for freelancers, the recruiting team acts as a brand ambassador of Deluxe Localization, shepherding them through the engagement and on-boarding process.

Spanish or UK work permit is required, candidates must be located close in either Barcelona, Madrid or London areas.

Main Duties

As a Recruitment Specialist, Nordics, your primary focus will be to coordinate the flow of information among different recruitment and localization stakeholders, including individual translators from the Nordic region. Candidates must speak at least one of the languages in the region and have strong professional connections to the localization community. You will be monitoring communications with translators throughout the recruitment process and tracking their progress from the first contact to testing to onboarding and training. Through your passion for communication and collaboration, you will empower the translators to fully engage with the program and perform at their best level to deliver high-quality translations of unique, high-quality original content. You will work cross-functionally with Linguistic Quality, Talent Acquisition, Payments, Project Coordination and Vendor Management in supporting Deluxe to continue to be a leader in the localization industry.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of localization and translation, preferably in the audiovisual sector. While this is an entry-level position, the role has opportunities for growth and development within the company.

The Person:

Competencies:
• Practical knowledge of localization workflows, including subtitling and dubbing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal as well as external stakeholders
• With clear customer focus, the ability to identify and effectively communicate any issues in project assignments
• The ability to troubleshoot and effectively escalate any concerns
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities or changes in workflow
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-level projects and tasks
• The ability to engage with culturally diverse, distributed team
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good command of Microsoft Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite
• Availability to start immediately

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and optimizing the recruitment process in the Nordics region
• Investigating opportunities for the introduction of new freelancers and vendors
• Tracking contact with translators and vendors
• Keeping the recruitment documentation up to date
• Evaluating different recruitment channels and sources
• Tracking the list of the recruitment agencies and their terms and conditions; introducing standardized terms and conditions for the recruitment vendors if possible
• Analyzing translator performance, cost per hire, time to hire, and recommending changes and improvements
• Assisting with troubleshooting, and researching translator queries
• Coordinating with the Linguistic Quality department to ensure quality escalations are taken care of and work is being monitored as needed
• Assisting with reviewing weekly reports and monthly metrics, and execution on agreed-upon corrective or preventive actions, as applicable
• Assisting in updating internal documentation to ensure procedures are standardized
• Providing daily reporting to Head of Operations, as needed
• Sourcing and selecting applicants for a variety of positions, both internal and external
• Communicating with candidates, embodying the Deluxe core values in every conversation
• Listing job ads on job boards, social media, and other possible channels
• Troubleshooting and providing a solution to various queries freelancers might have during their application/recruitment/onboarding process
• Creating strategies for and implementing creative recruitment and selection processes on a case-by-case basis
• Assisting in other administrative and data entry duties as assigned
