QA Specialist (TH>EN)

Job Title:
Linguistic QA Specialist – Thailand (English to Thai)

Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct subtitle reviews for client content, English to Thai
• Ensure accuracy of objective errors: grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, fluency, and intent is conveyed through subtitles
• Escalate any issues with the subtitle quality and collaborate with the production team to resolve issues in timely manner
• Seek to understand and correct any language uncertainty
• Ensure that the subtitle quality align with the expectations and standards of the company and clients
• Participate in internal training, as well as external training if required, to keep up with industry standards and company processes
What you bring:
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:
• Extensive experience working in translation and experience subtitling
• Outstanding Thai and English language skills, both written and oral
• Must be organized, diligent, and detail-oriented
• Can apply good judgement and research when faced with ambiguous situations
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills to ensure success across the team
• Ability to work independently while effectively communicating when required
• Possess cultural awareness to be able to address culturally sensitive matters and to raise concerns when faced with potentially sensitive issues
• Required to conduct subtitle review for English to Thai content upon requests with the same excellency and attention
• Currently a remote position (may be required to meet with the team as needed)
• Open to candidates located in Bangkok
