Position Overview

This role is responsible for subtitle, template and transcription QA responsibilities to ensure high-quality localization. The QA Specialist will review, edit and proofread subtitles, template, transcription and any reference documents for linguistic accuracy, and ensure all client guidelines, requirements, and feedback are understood and incorporated into deliverables, maintaining creative integrity and client specifications.

About the Team (Localization)

Localization is the process of translating and adapting content to specific geographical regions for consumption in local markets. Though many services make up the elements of the localization process including subtitling and dubbing, the goal of localization is to be authentic to the content being created, protecting the creative vision, specifically for a target market, no matter their language, culture, or location.

Main Duties

A Day in the Life of this position would include the following :
• Conduct subtitle, template and transcription reviews, ensuring grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, and fluency.
• Escalate quality issues and collaborate with production teams for timely resolution.
• Validate feedback with language leads and evaluators as needed.
• Adjust to the appropriate format, ensure the original content and accuracy for spoken dialogue and text elements.
• For template, annotate cultural and contextual notes to support other target languages' localization.
• Ensure files are error free and finalize deliverables to meet the highest industry standards as well as unique client specifications.
• Train and onboard new QA Specialists, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
• Participate in internal training sessions to stay updated on industry standards and workflows.

What You Bring
• Extensive experience in editing for subtitling and scripting.
• Strong Korean and English language skills, written and oral.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and general software tools.
• Well-rounded knowledge of historical and contemporary events, cultural references, slang, and idioms.
