Position Title

Learning Program Trainer, Freelance Engagement

Position Summary

The Learning Program Trainer works with other learning program colleagues to coordinate and implement e-learning and live training support for our network of freelance translators covering topics including software operation, subtitling and localization best practices, and content security. This position takes a supporting role in researching and writing specialized content, while also promoting and providing live support for freelancers.

About the Team (Localization)

Localization is the process of translating and adapting content to specific geographical regions for consumption in local markets. Though many services make up the elements of the localization process including dubbing and subtitling, the goal of localization is to be authentic to the content being created, protecting the creative vision, specifically for a target market, no matter their language, culture, or location.

Deluxe is one of the world's leading localization providers to the entertainment industry. We provide clients and therefore end users with a worldwide service offering in over 80 languages for theatrical, home entertainment, broadcast TV and streaming services.

Main Duties

In this role, your primary focus will be to work with a global team to administer e-learning and training content to localization vendors and freelancers with diverse cultural, educational, and technical backgrounds. You will support the e-learning manager in researching and writing content for these courses. You will contribute to team tasks which may include learning outreach, course completion tracking, course creation input and testing, documentation updates, and software testing, and collecting pertinent data points which connect the effects of e-learning on freelancer participation, quality, and overall satisfaction. The training team works cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Community Support, Linguistic Quality, and Translator Resources teams to help Deluxe strengthen the capacity, skillset, and quality of our collaborators in the translator community. You will also collaborate and knowledge-share with an internal training team, who work in parallel to provide content and training support for employee workflows. This position reports to the E-Learning Manager, Localization.

Experience, Qualifications & Key Competencies
• Native-level written and spoken English
• Experience in subtitling and localization industry
• Impeccable writing skills -- instructional writing is a plus
• Comfortable consulting with subject matter experts to research and vet content
• Experience and ease with public speaking -- live trainings and webinars are a plus
• Familiarity with different adult learning styles and skill sets is a plus
• Experience working with multinational and multicultural teams, and cultures that extend beyond the corporate footprint
• Skilled problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively
• The ability to multitask and meet agreed upon deadlines
• Demonstrate collaborative spirit, be a great team player
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization skills
