Learning Program Manager, Freelance Engagement

Position Summary

The Learning Program Manager plans, leads, manages and implements e-learning and live training support for our network of freelance translators. This position takes a lead role in researching, designing, and delivering specialized courses on software operation, subtitling and localization best practices, and execution of client guidelines, while managing a team who administer, promote and provide live support.

About the Team (Localization)

Localization is the process of translating and adapting content to specific geographical regions for consumption in local markets. Though many services make up the elements of the localization process including dubbing and subtitling, the goal of localization is to be authentic to the content being created, protecting the creative vision, specifically for a target market, no matter their language, culture, or location.

Main Duties

In this role, your primary focus will be to develop, create, and administer e-learning and training content to localization vendors and freelancers with diverse cultural, educational, and technical backgrounds, using tools like Moodle and Adobe Connect. You will manage a team responsible for e-learning outreach, course completion tracking, course creation creation, documentation updates, and software testing. Your team will maintain all pertinent data points which connect the effects of e-learning on freelancer participation, quality, and overall satisfaction. You will be working cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Community Support, Linguistic Quality and Translator Resources teams to help Deluxe strengthen the capacity, skillset, and quality of our collaborators in the translator community. You will also coordinate and collaborate with an internal training team, who work in parallel to provide content and training support for employee workflows. This position reports to the Senior Manager Client Relations, Translator Training and Community Management

Experience, Qualifications & Key Competencies
• Native-level written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the subtitling and localization industry is a plus
• Experienced content creator: collaborating with subject matter experts to build engaging training materials and e-learning courses
• Experienced in live training sessions and webinars
• Knowledge of varied pedagogical approaches
• Familiar with different adult learning styles and skill sets
• Experience in working with multinational and multicultural teams, and cultures that extend beyond the corporate footprint
• Skilled problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively and is able to determine root cause of issues
• The ability to multitask and meet agreed upon deadlines
• The ability to manage complex projects
• Demonstrate collaborative spirit, be a great team player
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization skills

This role is based in Los Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $63,750 - $75,000 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
