Full-Time, Permanent Position

Location: Madrid, Spain (office based a minimum of 4 days per week)

Position Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our team in Europe. This role will involve strategic partnering with Senior Leadership and Lines of Business supporting Spain and Italy. You'll work with Leads from across both regions, influencing the people agenda, considering the impact of decisions, identifying, and advising on people risks, devising pragmatic solutions and improved business performance.

The HRBP role is based in Madrid and reports to the People Director, EMEA based in London, UK and is a key contributor to the team by driving, influencing, and supporting the people and culture aspects of the business

Role and Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the delivery of generalist HR support in our Southern Cluster and support our other business units across Europe as required.
• Collaborate, advise, and influence Line of Business leadership by establishing credibility, trust, and rapport to be an effective listener and problem-solver of business and people issues.
• Provide full-scope HR support to business leaders including recruiting, training, coaching, and disciplining staff.
• Play an active role in the business and HR team and deliver effective people-led processes and initiatives.
• Be a true business partner, establish and maintain strong relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders, at all levels across the company.
• Lead specific HR project activities & deliver appropriate HR solutions in line with the Business needs and people agenda.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset and knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with all legal requirements as to fairness and equality of employment.
• Coaching business leaders within the region in shaping and executing organisational effectiveness and talent management priorities.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date HR data management, reporting, and analytics and be able to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance and employee experience.
• Participate in the global benchmark framework to define role requirements and salary banding.
• Support managers and employees on the Deluxe performance review process: planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff contributions.
• Support our Diversity and Inclusion programs, including programming and delivery of events.
• Ensure the organization complies with all applicable regulations, laws, and employment standards in all territories.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience in a fast-paced, globally matrixed environment, as well as:
• Strong employment compliance knowledge with ability to interpret and guide employment matters, manage grievances, and investigations in alignment with local employment law and regulations.
• Project management and change management experience.
• Experience within a complex, global, matrix style organization that is fast paced and dynamic:
• Ability to work across multiple time zones & a high level of cultural intelligence.
• Successful track record of partnering with senior leaders.
• Sound commercial awareness & a high degree of concern for the implementation of effective solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization.
• An energetic, self-motivated outlook with a bias for impact.
• Confidence, with ability to be flexible, resilient, and motivated to 'roll up your sleeves' to work in a fast-dynamic environment.
• Ability to multi-task competing priorities and projects.
