Digital Cinema Technical Operator (Fixed Term)

Digital Cinema Technical Operators are responsible for the creation of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) for distribution to cinemas around the world. Operators will be using industry standard software such as Cipher, DVS Clipster and Transkoder to provide bespoke services to all major and indie film studios. Elements handled include image, sound and subtitles from various source formats and must be conformed to client specification and DCI standards for theatrical release.

You must be able to work as part of a 24/7 team. Successful candidates should have a keen eye for detail, an interest in working in the film industry, and be used to working to tight deadlines whilst producing high quality work.

This is an entry level position. All relevant training will be provided to fulfil the role.

Main Duties
• Mastering of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) including Dubbed, Subtitled, 2D, 3D, 2K, 4K and HFR
• Use of Cipher, DVS Clipster and Transkoder
• Perform validation of DCPs
• Perform QC checks on DCPs
• Creation of combo packages
• Perform analysis of information and accurate record keeping in our work order and catalogue systems
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments within the company
• Troubleshoot issues raised internally and externally regarding DCPs

Working Hours

Shift Pattern: three week day-night rotation
• Week 1: Mon-Tues, Fri-Sun (08:00-20:00)
• Week 2: Wed-Thurs (08:00-20:00)
• Week 3: Mon-Thurs (21:30-08:00)
