Position: Digital Asset Technician
Location: Hollywood, CA

Deluxe is a leading supplier of digital post-production services, including localization. We provide scripting, theatrical dubbing, subtitling and audio services. Deluxe is a global company with a presence in 9 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios, broadcasters, OTT providers and new media and communication companies.

We have an opening for a Digital Asset Technician. This position is located in Hollywood, CA.

Position Summary:

Deluxe's Audio Services department is seeking a Digital Asset Technician to organize our studio's SAN storage, receive and transmit high-security files, and create delivery assets for both new, original version creative content and legacy, archival content.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Send and receive files to and from various vendors and clients through digital file delivery systems.
• Archive and restore audio and video assets to and from LTO tapes.
• Management of SAN storage for the entire studio.
• Creation of deliverables for physical audio assets, such as DVD-Rs and hard drives.
• Creation of deliverables for digital audio assets, such as Pro Tools sessions, audio files, Quicktime wraps, etc.
• Work with mixers and clients on mix stages and in editorial bays to ensure all required assets are available for sessions, including the building of Pro Tools video satellite sessions, ADR prep sessions, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Minimum experience 1-2 years in a post-production environment, preferably in a transmissions, IT, or Vault setting.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent trade school education preferred.
• Strong computer literacy including basic operation and troubleshooting for PCs and Macs; must possess an understanding Pro Tools, including basic troubleshooting and plug-in installation, as well as some basic understanding of Quicktime, Final Cut Pro, and various other industry-standard applications; must be fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software.
• Understand digital file transfer using different protocols, i.e. Aspera, DigiDelivery, Signiant, FTP, Media Exchange.
• Working knowledge of various digital audio configurations and video formats, file types and resolutions, file rendering, and video frame rates.
• Must be able to follow instructions and handle multiple projects in an active production environment.
• Must have the ability to make decisions independently.
• Must have the ability to contribute to the team environment.
• Individual must be able to communicate clearly with others in both written form and verbally.
• Must have demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize and be extremely detail-oriented.
• Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience in multimedia, software and/or creative production environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
