About the Opportunity
Deluxe Localization is currently looking for an Audiovisual Translation Specialist for our subtitling coordination team in Madrid.
The person:
• Energetic and committed
• BA in linguistics or translation (or equivalent), MA in translation an advantage
• At least 1 year of proven experience in project management, subtitling, translation, QA is recommended
• Background in film or audiovisual production an asset
• Extensive knowledge of localization

Requirements:
• Native level of Castilian Spanish.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Good command of other languages is a plus.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite
• Proficiency in Wincaps Quantum or other subtitling platforms is recomended.
• Ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to improvise and problem solve under pressure
• Team player
• Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests
• Spanish work permit is required
Overview of responsibilities:
• Collect and keep track of all materials needed to begin work (i.e. scripts, videos, etc.).
• Conform/Transcribe
• Create subtitle files from dubbing scripts
• Perform QA
• Perform QC on regular subtitles, SDH.
• Convert files for delivery
• Retime and adjust subtitles
• Have a good knowledge of client-specific guidelines and ensure that client expectations are met.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, strictly respecting the deadlines set by the clients.
• Escalate production issues to the manager.
• Update documentation
