Your New Role:

Video Editor/AP's coordinate the effective placement of video for CNNE's FAST Channel, but also for CNNE's Digital platforms on occasion. Video Editor/AP's will work with Producers and senior staff to ensure the timely and effective placement of video and work with teams in different cities in Latin America and the US. This position is also responsible for writing headlines, brief summaries, and contributing to CNNE's FAST Channel's strategy.

The Video Editor/AP will gather content from shows, create collections, manage metadata input and video publishing within MMRS & Amagi, edit clips in Adobe Premiere as needed, forward RACI and Legal clearance issues to Senior staff, manage live feeds & content as needed, re-write clip descriptions as needed, while adhering to CNN Standards and Practices and Legal guidance.

Your Role Accountabilities:

The video Editor/AP will curate content for the Fast Channel during his/her shift and will select and translate new material from CNN and CNNI for the FAST CHANNEL.
• Maintenance & Curation of of CNNE Fast Channel Content
• Create, develop, program and maintain Fast Channel content
• Editing of content from CNNE's Library Shows & other
• Build CNN FAST Channel Rundowns & Populate
• Responsible for idea generation and translations from CNN and its partners. Determines and maintains the ''creative vision'' of assigned content and determines and implements technical designs;
• May take the lead in the creative development and technical implementation of smaller low-risk content;
• Accountable for the ''life'' of assigned content, from ''release'' through ongoing ''refreshes'' and ''updates'';
• Write and maintain content specifications;
• Oversee editing of final product;
• Manages assigned production resources and assets;
• Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities;
• Works closely with other departments to maximize content
• Creates workaround for content limitations with Senior Producers or Producers

Qualities & Experience
• Experience working in a news production environment; FAST Channel a plus! Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Production, New media or related field;
• Equivalent work experience in web design, journalism, and/or business may be considered in lieu of a degree;
• Ability to produce and edit video for online presentation visual and presentation aptitude with understanding of presentation and online publishing process;
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or similar editing system.

Nice to have
• Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media publishing is strongly desired.
