Job Description
The Senior Producer of Newsource Live is responsible for managing a dynamic and geographically diverse news and content production team. In this role, it is the responsibility of the Senior Producer to direct the execution and production of daily content products and strategies and orchestrating live programming tailored for a vast client landscape.

The role collaborates and works with Newsource Managers and technical staff to dispatch crews to cover breaking news in the field and major planned events, as well as execute client production deals centered in Washington and other CNN bureaus. The Senior Producer is an editorial and production lead, assuring CNN's journalistic standards are applied to every assignment.

The position collaborates with CNN operations, editorial and special events leads on coverage of stories which resonate and impact the more than one thousand CNN broadcast affiliates and 200 radio clients. The Senior Producer travels to coordinate major events and lead coverage on large scale breaking news stories.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Collaborates with peers to direct the production of daily franchise and news of the day packages to meet the contractual obligations and daily needs of the Newsource affiliates. i.e. Healthminute, news of the day wrap, Free Custom Lives, breaking news deployments and content creation
• Ensures broadcast affiliates have access to CNN Bureaus and live field locations, live event and breaking news facilities (convention hall, satellite truck, LiveU, standup location) or access for customized live reports from CNN reporters (Newsource correspondents or CNN GA)
• Interacts and strategizes daily with Newsource correspondents in multiple bureau locations is critical.
• Availability to react to and engage with news teams at all hours is crucial.
• Handles staff schedules and oversees the onsite/bureau daily work of Newsource editorial and production teams to ensure all aspects of live and produced coverage

Qualifications & Experience…
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5 years or above editorial experience in broadcast news; producing, writing, etc.
• Knowledge of SNG and other means of transmission
• 24/7 availability and flexibility required

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
