The Job
A CNN Multimedia Journalist (known internally as a Cross-Platform Video Producer) is a highly experienced journalist with a demonstrated ability to work in all environments creating and producing live and pre-produced content. Experienced collaborator able to work in fast paced, broadcast, digital, social, and mobile environments as an independent idea generator, storyteller, and newsgatherer.

The Daily
• Th e MMJ will produce, shoot, write and edit news stories independently or as part of a reporting team. The position requires craft production and extensive editorial experience which allows the MMJ to excel in the independent generation of ideas, logistics implementation, journalistic ethics, creative storytelling, videography, editing, and content transmission. This is not an on-air position.
• The MMJ must be a proven team leader and collaborator who is capable of exercising competent, real-time decision making in their understanding and coverage of news events for distribution of live and recorded event coverage for consumption across the WarnerMedia organization.

The Essentials
• 5 years editorial/newsgathering/live event production
• 5 years' experience in breaking news 24/7 environment
• Demonstrable craft shooting, editing, and producing skills
• Driver's License (must maintain an active Driver's License)
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, TV Production or related field. In lieu of a degree we would consider experience and on the job accomplishment.
• Must be accredited to work in the United States

Desirable Requirements:
• Knowledge of IP/Streaming Transmission Systems
• Fluency in Spanish language desirable
• Experience with long form production and familiarity with large sensor cameras
• Military experience welcomed
• Knowledge of CNN programming, production and newsgathering processes
• FAA-approved drone operator
