Booking Field Producer (Project), Longform Unit - CNN+

We are seeking an experienced Field Producer, Booking to join the team that will create premium longform content exclusively for CNN+. This is an ambitious and exciting new unit that requires strong leaders and creative storytellers who have experience producing feature content with a sharp focus on popular culture.

The Field Producer is responsible for supporting the editorial bookings featured in the content coming out of this group.

The Daily
• This individual, along with the wider booking team will be responsible for consistently pitching stories and booking dynamic characters, experts, and public figures for individual taped segments.
• The ideal candidate has strong news judgement and deep knowledge and curiosity in regards to popular culture and a passion for unearthing stories and topics that are provocative and buzzworthy.
• The Field Producers are part of a group of talent bookers and should have an interest and ability in collaborating and supporting a team of producers and storytellers.
• The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-based, breaking news environment and is capable of maintaining schedules and workflows, while meeting aggressive deadlines for on-budget work.
• This person is a fearless communicator with a proven track record of being able to talk to just about anyone with confidence.
• The Field Producer could be called upon to support or produce individual segments, so the ideal candidate should lean into the creative as well.
• This position reports to the Senior Editorial Producer and will partner with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• This role is based in New York or Los Angeles.

The Essentials
• Experience as a booking producer or equivalent production experience.
• This candidate must be able to multitask and execute quickly.
• This person should have a strong grasp of social media as it relates to popular culture.
• Strong editorial judgement, and a knowledge of the digital landscape is required.
• Organizational skills and writing skills are essential to this position.
• Second language is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.
