Content Coordinator, CNN Image+Sound (Temporary)
As a CNN Image+Sound Production Services member, you will contribute to creating a great work environment where you can grow in your career and be part of a high performing team that delivers quality journalism for CNN worldwide. Our team provides 24/7 production and editorial expertise to support CNN's storytelling.
The Content Coordinator is editorially in tune with the day's stories, starting the production process by recording and ingesting content for all CNN platforms.
Our team is agile – moving fast when needed to ensure that the video of the great stories is captured correctly. The Content Coordinator creates connections with their colleagues, and business partners around the globe. You will be the first set of eyes and ears on critical news elements supporting traditional broadcast programs and emerging digital products daily production needs. You are key to bringing video content into CNN's production hub. Collaboration and customer service is key to success as you partner with News Editors, Photojournalists and show teams to ensure excellence for content for all CNN platforms.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Key responsibilities can include:
• Recording and ingesting content (video and still imagery) into CNN's media asset management (MAM) system.
• Recording CNN airchecks for archival and edit purposes.
• Summarizing editorial content/context within records.
• Entering information provided to create complete metadata records.
• Working in a fast-paced 24/7/365 newsroom.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Two (2) years of experience in news or video production.
• Solid new awareness.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of file-based workflows.
• Solid research skills.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure.
• A strong curiosity for current and historic events.
• A motivation to grow and adapt to a rapidly changing business
• Customer Service experience
• Command of the English language. Other language skills are highly valued.
• Ability to understand a variety of accents.
• Bachelor's degree (typically in liberal arts such as journalism, English, political science) or similar demonstrated on the job experience.
