The Team

Turner Sports is looking to hire a Freelance Assistant Media Technician to join their Sports Media Services team located in Atlanta. This temporary position will be assisting our production team.

The Daily
• Organization and distribution of server content.
• Understanding of Media Asset Management Systems (MAM).
• Descriptive metadata entry within MAM.
• Transport of files via FTP like systems.
• Assist with file ingest into MAM and watchfolders.
• Archiving media assets for long-term preservation as well as purging time sensitive media.
• Documenting and confirming that media assets are delivered.
• Understanding of pre/post production workflows and environment.
• Knowledge of all broadcast equipment and technology as assigned, including but not limited to, content and media movement, content management.
• Organizational and multitasking skills are required.
• Understanding complex information and disseminating it to proper personnel.
• Problem solving, troubleshooting and effective communication to best convey any issues needing resolution.
• Ability to work independently and manage simultaneous projects.

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications.
• Familiar with basics of video, audio, and broadcast technology.
• Must have strong communication and organization skills and great attention to detail.
• Flexibility of schedule.
• A minimum of 2 years practical TV production or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are a necessity.
• Ability to work as a part of a team dynamic.
• Must be willing and able to adapt to constantly changing environment.
