Overview and Responsibilities:
This position is currently a critical role for both Newspath and CBS New York as it ensures payroll, vendor relations, onboarding and invoicing are all completed in a timely and accurate manner. Any issues that may arise with vendors or employees, this employee will take head on to guarantee solutions are found. This is a high risk role if not filled as employees payroll and vendors payments are not completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
TV Stations: CBS NEWSPATH
• Process, approve weekly payroll in WorkForce and point person for all associated inquiries
• Ensure compliance with CBAs for payment issues
• Manage PTO balances in Workforce in conjunction with our scheduling application, Humanity.
• Month End accounting support including the Compilation of month end labor charge out reports, headcounts and budget analysis
• Purchasing and Vendor payment/setup
• Expense report assistance including travel bookings and expense report submissions.
• Troubleshoot expense report and corporate card issues and assist filers with complex expense submissions.
• In-house catering coordination for meetings and breaking news situations. Provide catering for Stations when requested by our VP News Director.
• New hire onboarding. Order cell phones, credit cards, business cards, security badges, and coordinate with tech for login setup. Coordinate asset retrieval from departing employees. This includes Newspath, Bulletin Center, and CBS Beats.
• Fleet management for Newspath-owned vehicles in New York, Washington DC, Miami, and Los Angeles. Registration renewals, insurance, violation payments, accidents, EZ-Pass, and vehicle maintenance.
• Specialized billing for satellite orders, custom live shots and any manual billing
• Employee scheduling of technical staff
CBS New York: WCBS/WLNY
• Manage weekly payroll in Workforce for staff and per diem hires.
• Monthly payment of IATSE fees for union employees
• Collaborate with Labor Relations, Corporate Payroll and HR to resolve payment issues and union grievances.
• Process WCBS/WLNY monthly invoices and send to PTP team including engineering and utilities.
• Track trade approvals on SharePoint and WideOrbit and produce monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Point person for any payroll or vendor inquiries.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4-5+ years' experience in payroll, billing, or similar administrative roles.
• Strong proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Workforce, Graphite, Oracle), billing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with union regulations and labor relations is highly desirable.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in broadcast or media environments a plus!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 85,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
