We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead our advertising sales team in spearheading revenue across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. This role is pivotal in developing strategic initiatives, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the station meets and exceeds revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and inspire Account Executives to achieve revenue targets for linear TV, digital, and streaming.
• Manage local and national sales, including transactional, new business, and sponsorship advertising• Develop and execute strategic sales plans that maximize market share and profitability.
• Manage pricing, inventory, and forecasting to optimize revenue performance.
• Cultivate new business opportunities and maintain well-developed relationships with agencies and direct clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams (news, marketing, creative, digital) to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Oversee RFP responses and create compelling proposals for local and national advertisers.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform pricing and positioning strategies.
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales management experience in broadcast television or digital media.
• Proven success in leading revenue growth and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of digital advertising, streaming platforms, and integrated media solutions.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as WideOrbit, Salesforce, Nielsen, and Comscore.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with sponsorship sales.
• Knowledge of emerging digital trends and programmatic buying.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
