Job Description

Multi-Skilled Content Producer / Station Archivist - Dallas/Fort Worth

Ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational skills, excellent news judgment, and the ability to produce & edit engaging content on multiple platforms.

Responsibilities include maintaining archive library, overseeing licensing contracts with outside clients, fulfilling subpoena requests for archived news footage as directed by CBS Legal, compiling proof of performance videos for CBS Sales Team, and writing content for on-air/online/social media platforms. Also, editing compelling, impactful packages for broadcast/digital using non-linear systems such as Grass Valley Edius and Adobe Premiere.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks daily, a keen insight for the power of visuals, natural sound, and memorable writing. Have a proven track record of impactful storytelling, can work independently, and have excellent communication skills. Creative and collaborative ability to advance station mission.

Successful candidate should have:
• Proven experience editing for broadcast/digital news at the collegiate level or above
• Experience with iNews a plus
• Experience with non-linear editing systems, Grass Valley Edius preferred
• Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred
• Must be driven by results, innovative, self-directed, and work independently while meeting deadlines
• Willing to work a varied work schedule including overnights, weekends, and holidays
