Multi-Skilled Content Producer / Editor

Job Description

Ideal candidate will have excellent news judgment and ability to produce & edit engaging content on multiple platforms.

Responsibilities include writing content for on-air/online/social media platforms. Editing compelling, impactful packages for broadcast/digital using non-linear systems such as Grass Valley Edius and Adobe Premiere.

Must be a self-starter, with a keen insight for the power of visuals, natural sound, and memorable writing. Have a proven track record of impactful storytelling, can work independently, and have excellent communication skills. Creative and collaborative ability to advance station mission.

Successful candidate should have:
• Proven experience editing for broadcast/digital news at the collegiate level or above
• Experience with iNews a plus
• Experience with non-linear editing systems, Grass Valley Edius preferred
• Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred
• Must be driven by results, innovative, self-directed, and work independently while meeting deadlines
• Willing to work a varied work schedule including overnights, weekends, and holidays
