CBS2 TELEVISION / KCAL 9 TELEVISION, A TV station duopoly in Southern California, is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager who will be responsible for the overall maintenance guidance, support, and upkeep of the KCBS/KCAL Studio City Broadcast Center. The Manager will also oversee the upkeep of equipment and supplies, determine and schedule repairs or renovation projects, and coordinate safety inspections. The position requires diverse trade experience spanning a wide range of engineering disciplines, including electrical, HVAC/mechanical and plumbing. The Facilities Manager will also possess excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and Engineering.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the general maintenance aspects of the 212,000 square foot facility interior and immediate exterior spaces.
• Coordinate with vendors and trades to complete repairs and projects on time and within budget.
• supervise a staff of 5 in maintenance and facilities services.
• Must have deep knowledge of Federal/State/Local regulations and codes and maintain strict building compliance with all relevant laws and codes.
• Must possess working knowledge of large emergency power generation systems, UPS systems, large HVAC chiller systems.
• Anticipate and schedule maintenance windows to minimize downtime for the 24/7/365 facility
• On-call 7/24/365 for building emergencies
• Maintain meticulous records for service intervals and industry compliance
• Provide assistance for Broadcast Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Mailroom related issues and projects.
• Assist Finance team in forecasting department spending and managing vendor payments.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline preferred

5+ years of facilities management experience required

Certification in related fields of expertise a plus
