DGA Staff Director/IBEW 403(g) Technician

KCBS2/KCAL9, the largest duopoly, and part of the CBS-owned and operated stations in Los Angeles, is seeking a strategic News Producer to join our team. We are looking for a leader in the industry who brings expertise and innovation to news production by building engaging content that captivates our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a software engineer to join the CBS News Engineering team! We're a team that values software that exemplifies simplicity of design, maintainability, extensibility, and foundational adaptability! We are most interested in a candidate who can be responsible for writing and maintaining production code for a high-volume, content management system collaboration with Product, Design, Marketing, QA, Operations, and Editorial teams.

Candidate must be willing to work a very flexible work schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Vacations, holidays, and personal time are per the combined CBAs as determined at the time of hire.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous Sony ELC experience is required
• Ability to run in automated or manual configuration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment
• Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills
• Strong work ethic, and leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities a must.
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Good conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• College Degree Required or Equivalent Experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $142,376.00 - 142,376.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
