OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Planner to join our growing Planning team. This is a new position that reflects a wider commitment by CAA Brand Consulting to become known as the cultural and strategic partner for the biggest brands in the world.

The successful applicant will sit within the Global Consumer & Cultural Insights team but report into and work closely with the Director of Planning on a day-to-day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your overarching task will be to strengthen and develop the bridge between research and creative across our existing clients and new business activity, by mining research to suggest actionable and original insights that inspire exciting, effective creative work. Alongside this, you will also play a leading role in driving a curious and strategic culture throughout the team.

Client Work
You will be expected to develop a strategic understanding of all accounts. Helping to guide the development of client work to ensure that it reflects and is accountable to, the wider departmental strategy. Where necessary, acting as a trouble-shooter and supporting on-going creative development through ownership of creative briefs.

New Business
You will play a key role in many of the new business pitches that we undertake. Interrogating incoming tenders, composing internal briefs, leading creative sessions, structuring responses and pitching live to prospective clients.

Internal Responsibilities

Supporting and driving both the critical thinking training and thought-leadership agendas within the UK and International offices. This will involve immersing yourself in the agency-wide strategic philosophy, using your signature style to run and develop sessions that help us tackle modern brand problems; as well as mining original trends and insights, providing 'the fuel' for our work and creating compelling points of view, that can be used in articles that will help promote the profile of CAA Brand Consulting as an agency that thinks big.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Must have solid previous experience working with clients in a creative/marketing/digital agency, in a strategy-based role.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent understanding of the composition and application of creative briefs.
• Experience and expertise in brand partnerships.
• Thorough understanding of data-driven marketing strategies.
• Experience communicating and providing consultation and advice to clients, including running brainstorms & strategy workshops.
• An expert collaborator, with experience working with data and creative teams on fast-moving projects.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Some experience in conducting and interpreting consumer research and data, either through online tools or through agency commission, preferred, but not essential.
