The Role
We are currently seeking an assistant to provide support to an executive in the Music Touring Business Affairs department. The position offers a tremendous opportunity to learn about the entertainment/legal affairs business and provides exposure to industry executives and lawyers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, possessing a desire to pursue a career in the business realm of the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
• General clerical and administrative duties including answering phones, meeting and schedule coordination, preparing expense reports, producing correspondence, and travel coordination.
• Maintain an awareness of the Executive's obligations (internal and external) in order to proactively assist and/or anticipate needs
• Effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels.
Qualifications
• Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple projects and expectations; and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities.
• Attention to detail and strong organization skills are a must.
• Strong interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
• Adept at quickly learning new processes and technology.
• Familiarity with or exposure to touring or other entertainment contracts is a plus.
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-$22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
