Job Description

For more than 30 years, CAA Brand Management has helped brands of all shapes and sizes show up in new consumer product categories, experiences and territories, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. CAA Brand Management is a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Together we represent many of the most successful global brands and professionals working in television, film, music, theatre, video games, sports, and digital content. We also provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients.

CAA Brand Management is currently seeking a Business Development Retail Director for the GAS region.
• Contribute to the achievement of the yearly Business Development EMEA budget.
• Strategically manage the GAS retail landscape to increase the company revenue by identifying profitable opportunities, securing sound business deals and developing long-term business growth.
• Research the GAS retail market (across all tiers; both online and brick and mortar) to identify market trends and engage with new partners aligned to CAA's brands strategies across categories to grow sales and CAA revenue.
• Foster new business in the GAS region by identifying decisions makers contacts within the retail market, build strong relationships via cold calling, emailing outreach, in person meetings and other means as necessary and negotiate short, mid and long term sales programs as well as DTR deals.
• Lead, manage and finalise efficient and productive negotiations of deal terms, taking full ownership of the deal process.
• Work closely with Client Management to thoroughly present potential retail business plans and with Legal to get to the fully execution of deals in the quickest and smoothest possible way.
• Track activity consistently and accurately within Hubspot

Qualifications / Requirments
• 5 to 10 years' of demonstrated successful sales experience in the licensing industry
• Existing network of retail contacts across multiple categories within the GAS retail market
• Proven track record of closing deals and growing partnerships across multiple sectors
• Experience of working with retail decision makers across multiple categories
• Accomplished communicator with a strong commercial acumen, solid negotiation skills and the ability to network effectively both internally and externally
• A confident and successful negotiator who can creatively develop new business ideas
• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organisation and time-management skills
• Objective driven and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising workload
• Team player, supportive of colleagues and management to achieve team goals
• The ability to travel as needed
