OVERVIEW

CAA, which acquired ICM Partners earlier this year, has expanded its publishing and book to film and television operations in London. A fast-paced and growing department selling publication and media rights across all languages, territories, and formats to establish and develop literary careers worldwide; we work with internationally acclaimed and bestselling authors across fiction and non-fiction.

We are looking for a new detail-oriented and efficient Assistant to join our team, primarily to support two of our Agents. This Assistant will work with US, UK and internationally-based authors/journalists/publications/life rights holders behind such notable films and shows like Where The Crawdads Sing (Sony), Outlander (Starz), Maid (Netflix), The Watcher (Netflix), Zola (A24) among others.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
• Management of a busy diary and contacts lists, travel booking, scheduling & expenses
• Logging deals on behalf of the Literary Agents
• Management of multiple databases, from publication to rights
• Liaising with our Business Affairs and Accounts departments to track payments and contracts, and raise invoices
• Reading and commenting on new material and submissions, and managing incoming submissions
• Dealing with enquiries about rights
• Acting as the primary point of contact for client enquiries by telephone and email
• Fielding phone calls and emails for the Agents
• Correspondence drafting

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a passion for books/reading, watching films and television and be keen to develop a career in the publishing or film and television industries.
• Interest in other types of media, such as podcasts, visual arts, and the ability to identify trends.
• Should have solid administrative experience.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience with Outlook and other MS Office programmes.
• Additional language skills are desirable but not essential.
