CAA seeks an Assistant Videographer/Editor for our in-house Creative Services department. In this role, they will report to the Head of Creative Services, work closely with the Project Manager and video team in production and post-production efforts in support of the Agency and our Clients. The Videographer/Editor will support the video team in creating original corporate content, and their work on a range of projects including but not limited to; clip playlists, client and corporate sizzle reels, concept videos, web/social videos, video interstitials, motion graphics, sound editing, and special client projects.
o Liaise with the Project Manager, executives and professionals on the video team
o Research, source, trim and build project files for the video team
o Work in conjunction with Project Manager to source, organize,, and archive corporate and client materials
o Ingest and compress memory cards after shoots
o Work within established workflows and follow file naming protocols
Occasional on-set support for the video production team
o Bachelor's degree in film, video, media, production, photography, editing or a related field
o 0-2 years of professional experience working in a creative environment such as an agency, production company, post house, freelance editor or event production
o Understanding of editing concepts around pacing, structure and emotion
o Ability to work on a set under direction of DP to set up lights, c-stands, scrims, backdrops
o Ability to set up editing projects, manage folder and file structures, work quickly and efficiently, and archive in line with established team workflow
o Working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Quicktime Pro 7, Quicktime Pro 10, Handbrake. Working knowledge of AfterEffects, DaVinci Resolve and Audition is a plus
o Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate creative concepts
o Technical aptitude related to operating systems, export settings, codecs and ability to troubleshoot computer issues with tech support as needed
o Passion for editing, desire to do more and always improve
o Eye for detail, ability to carefully cross-reference notes to deliverables
