Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Recruitment Manager with Studio experience to join our team! The position is currently remote, but we are looking for someone based in the Vancouver area.

Requirements:

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide and see through full cycle recruitment strategy for all BRON entities with a focus on Digital, providing weekly reports on success rates, time to hire, turnover, etc., to help shorten time to staff;
• Lead the Talent Acquisition Assistant and future recruitment team hires with a focus on implementing more best practices for effective hiring; including, but not limited to, writing creative/enticing job descriptions;
• Partner with HR team members to ensure onboarding strategies, tools, and communication throughout the organization on hiring principles, interview techniques, etc. are aligned;
• Create new and strengthen existing relationships with various industry associations and schools in Canada, USA, NZ, etc. to enhance BRONs presence and reputation in the film and animation/VFX industry;
• Coordinate and participate in any recruiting special events, which would include the cross-studio participation in any (virtual) industry conferences, as well as local industry functions;
• Propose and implement creative solutions to fill our critical roles;
• Lead the recruitment team on attracting and retaining talent and through establishing training and development programs with HR Generalist;
• With the help of the Talent Acquisition Assistant, create, update and maintain all candidate activities/notes in our applicant tracking system (Workable);
• Inform HR Advisor of any market trends regarding Benefits as they pertain to recruitment and retention ;
• Lead interviews, prepare request for offer approvals, communicate and negotiate offers with candidates;
• Adapt interview questions to ensure candidates have the skills, knowledge and abilities to fully complete their job duties;
• Work with HR team to ensure proper immigration paperwork is in place or completed for potential hires;
• Work closely with Production Resource Manager to identify recruitment needs and ensure we attract, develop and inspire top talent in the industry;
• Provide coaching and mentoring to hiring managers to develop recruitment skills in addition to providing input into the matching of potential candidates to suitable positions;
• Continuously learn about Recruitment trends within our industry;
• Work closely with HR Generalist on projects, such as: Diversity and Inclusion, Career Webpage, LinkedIn people page;
• Partner with HR team to draft recruitment policies and procedures;
• Any other applicable duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• University degree or college diploma in a field related to management such as commerce, business administration, industrial relations or psychology;
• Certification as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is an asset but not required;
• Previous experience in recruitment for a fast-paced, high-volume studio
• MS Office proficient
• Able to communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are an asset
• Independent, self-motivated, positive go-getter demeanor
• Has a sense of pride in accomplishments with a good balance of humor and humility
