DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Red Sox Foundation is one of the largest team charities in Major League Baseball, strategically using its platform to be a leading source of hope and positivity off the field in the areas of health, education and recreation. By coupling our year-round, direct-service programming with our grant-making initiatives and core partnerships, we utilize a unique model as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to effectively triple our impact in New England and Lee County, Florida. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall development strategy of the Red Sox Foundation, which generates revenue through events, fundraising campaigns, sponsorships and grants. They will primarily focus on fundraising activations to mobilize fans and strengthen the Foundation's connection to Red Sox Nation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fundraising Strategy & Operations
• o Assist the Development & Sponsorships Sr. Coordinator in the management of the operations and administrative needs of the 50/50 Raffle and any contest-based fundraising campaign.
• o
Oversee the Foundation's inventory of memorabilia and associated fundraising campaigns (e.g. auctions, grab bags), including campaign details, fan inquiries, and winner logistics.
• o Assist with the tracking, management, and strategy of other key fundraising initiatives.
• o Provide support to the Executive Director and Director of Development & Communications on the research, vetting and creation of new fundraising opportunities.
• o
Oversee the process of writing and sending out tax acknowledgment letters on a regular basis for all gifts made to the Foundation.
• o Assist with any in-park, game and event day responsibilities, as scheduled.
• o Attend meetings, events and activations on behalf of the Foundation, as needed.
• Sponsorships & Activations
• o Assist the Executive Director and Development Team in the creation of thoughtful proposals and decks for prospective and current donors and sponsors.
• o Provide support to track, manage and execute all sponsor deliverables.

CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in non-profit development and/or events, with a strong passion and desire to build a career in charitable and community outreach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
• Self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, unstructured and frequently changing environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including, nights, weekends and holidays.
